The Maximilianeum, a palatial building in Munich, was built as the home of a gifted students' foundation and has also housed the Bavarian Landtag (state parliament) since 1949 - Have a look!

This is another beautiful spot for sunsets. Locals grab a beer or some wine and sit on the wall below this spectacular building. The 10-15 walk or bike ride (5-7 minutes) down Maximilianstrasse leads past beautiful buildings and over the river Isar.
