The tiny fishing village of Taganga is 10 minutes north of Santa Marta, making it a popular day trip up the coast. Some come for its laid-back small-town vibe, while others stick around to learn how to scuba dive. Here, you’ll find some of the most cost-effective Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) open-water diving courses on the continent.

Place to eat, party or spend a day enjoying the view or activities they offer, with families go better in the day
This fishermans village , has nice restaurants and you can walk along the coast to playa grande,. nice for a snorkel too. Is better in low season and weekdays as the beach is not so big and gets crowdy
Visit this beautiful town of fishermen and enjoy some of the most gorgeous beaches you've ever seen. There are different travel agencies in the area that will make transportation arrangements on small boats to the beaches in the area. I recommend snorkeling or scuba diving. The coral reef is spectacular!
