Easy to challenging hiking trails with fantastic vistas. For a more challenging hike, look up Jesse Girard Trail or Henry Buck Trail. For something a little easier, try the Elliot Bronson Trail. If you came for the classic New England fall foliage, this is the place to go.

Take a hike! Several trails. Jesse Gerard Trail off East River Road wins our vote for best view. It’s a little steep and rocky in spots on the left fork up. Take the right fork it, for endurance, take the longer Agnes Bowen trail to Jesse Gerard for a longer steadier climb to the lookout point. 1000 year old soap stone quarries are on the north trail. A new boardwalk built by forest volunteers brings you out to a beaver dammed marsh at the top of Greenwood’s Rd.
