It is a walking tour but if you like history there is a lot to take in.

Just follow the red line that guides you through the meandering cobblestoned streets. Visit the cemetery where Mother Goose remains.

Every guidebook recommends the Freedom Trail, and for good reason. While you're here, make sure to check out the Commons/Public Gardens (the swan boats and duckling statues are very Instagrammable), Paul Revere's House, the Old North Church, Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market, the North End (Italian food and cannolis!), etc.

The 2.5 miles-long path passes by 16 locations significant to the history of the U.S., including the Bunker Hill Monument, Paul Revere House, Boston Common and Massachusetts State House. The trail is marked largely with brick and goes over the bridge between Charlestown and downtown Boston.
