New Zealand's major oil refining company has an interactive visitor's centre. You are also able to enjoy a wonderfully delicious variety of food at the refinery's café.

They have a very large model of the refinery and videos explaining the journey from Crude oil to petrol. Fascinating!!

There is a visitors centre with a module of the entire set up, and shows you how it all operates.

An interesting place to visit, the kids will love the huge scale model and interactive displays. Perfect time filler for those not so sunny days

Wharf at Ralph Trimmer Dr, popular for fishing. Or walk along beach and fish under the oil pipelines, and walk to the point. Papich Rd alongside logging. Park and bush walk track to waters edge and wharf for fishing Mair Rd access to spectacular Bream Bay and surf beach. Walk to the point if desired.
