Just great. Head along to Portally Cove (take a swim) and beyond to Ballymacaw for a longer walk.

Starts from the harbour in the village. It’s a lightly trafficked out and back easy trail. It is suitable for children, but it’s exposed in places and close to cliff edge. Walk to Portally for an evening swim in a stunning and quiet cove. Dunmore to Portally Cove and back - 5 km - 1 hour Dunmore to Rathmoylan Cove and back - 6 km – 1.5 hours Dunmore to Ballymacaw and back - 8 km - 2 hours

Beautiful scenic walk with a small bit of hiking through 3 beaches. It’s approximately 4km each way:

Cliff walk on a pathway that starts near the pier in Dunmore (as you drive down to the Pier, turn right up to a car park and then follow the signs). It is a lovely walk by the cliffs. It is about 2.5km to Portalley Cove (itself well worth a visit). Recently the walk has been extended further to take in a couple more little beaches.

Whatever the weather, the Cliff walk offers stunning panoramic views of the Southeast coastline. Order fresh fish n chips to take out at the East Pier before setting off to take in the views or walk from Dunmore to Portally cove, and further on if you're a keen walker.
