Go out the front door and head south past the Steel Bridge to enjoy jogging, walking, biking, skateboarding, fountain play, lunching, basketball, fireworks viewing, Segwaying, boat watching, sunrises and sunsets. Due to its recreational use, lunch hours are peak-use hours for the waterfront park. In…

The Waterfront is a great spot to see in downtown Portland. Growing up here, my family kind of looked at this spot of the Waterfront as the heart of the whole city. During the summer, all the festivals are held here. From the Rose Festival to Cinco De Mayo to the Blues Festival and quite a few…

Do a walking or biking loop along the waterfront park and Eastbank Esplanade. The westside is charming, and from the eastside you get the best views of downtown. There's bikes to rent for the ride. I recommend crossing the Steel Bridge, and then returning back on either the Hawthorne or Tilikum…

Beautiful riverside park with iconic views of the city. It's a great place for people-watching, jogging and biking and is where the Blues and Oregon Brewers Festivals take place. Lots of fun stuff to see here!

Musée d'art
“Portland may not be the art mecca as cities like New York or Chicago are, but it does have a modestly sized museum that offers some classic and contemporary art pieces, as well as local and Native American art. It’s actually one of the oldest museums in the country and it’s worth the trip for any art lover. Tickets are $20 for adults, and free for kids under 17, making it a great place to visit for families.”
