Pickup is about proving yourself on the court. I like to go Riverside once in a while to catch weekend warriors who don’t know me. That gets me pumped to play. There are benches in front of the courts to wait for your game or just watch. The younger kids tend to play full, while players of all levels use the four half courts. There’s a guy that comes around with a cooler full of Gatorade, water, and soda. It sells for a dollar or two.

This would be fantastic to walk during sunset. Beautiful views over the Hudson River. You can also rent a bike and ride it all the way down Manhattan and back with a protected Greenway path

With a walking/bike trail that stretches almost the entire island you can see incredible views of the Hudson River and NJ by going North to the George Washington Bridge or South to Battery Park.
