This place is a part of American History. The last battles of the Civil War was fought here. Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson died in an outbuilding on the Chandler plantation in the rural community of Guinea Station. Today, the "Stonewall" Jackson Death Site is part of Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park. The building is open most days seasonally, but the grounds are open daily from sunrise to sunset.

This is area is rich with history. It is mostly known for the battle of Fredericksburg between Gen. Robert E Lee's Confederate Army and Major General Ambrose Burnside.
