Good for swimming with the kids. Either walk or drive as only a few minutes away from Heatherdown house.

There are several beautiful sandy beaches on the North Devon coast at Croyde, Saunton, Putsborough and Woollacombe. All worth a visit, good for surfing but not so wild that you can't just swim too.
