TierPark Lange Erlen can be accessed with Bus #36 Kleinhunigen (exit Lange Erlen). Walk through the overpass, then towards the right and through the trees to the park entrance. This park was mostly quiet on my visit with only a few other visitors walking around. For a free park, this place is pretty well maintained and it has a nice number of rare animals (cats, pigs, fox, black swans) to other standard zoo animals, like monkeys, deer, buffalo, chickens, fowl, moose, peacock, donkeys, a honeybee display and more. Many of these animals can be seen in as close as possible to normal, natural settings. You can as well do a long walk along the river Wiese which is the border to Germany.

Lange Erlen Park is an animal park which is sponsored by the city and private sponsors and is therefore free of charge. An ideal place to have a walk or relax.
