ROMANTIC DINNING The food is upscale Thai and western, think duck leg confit in a honey sauce, New Zealand tenderloin, or traditional Thai with ultra-fresh seafood. But actually, this is one place where you aren't coming mainly for the food. While there are plenty of waterfront dining options to pick from in Bangkok, this is the only one with a brightly lit golden temple right in your face. The Deck by the River as it is fully named, boasts the city's best view of its most iconic landmark, Wat Arun, or The Temple of Dawn. If you get here early, you can take in a purple and red sunset with the silhouette of the temple right in the center, and once it gets dark, the temple gets illuminated and becomes a golden beacon. Needless to say, this place is a good choice for a romantic night out.
