Oak street is a lovely commercial district that has been transformed post Katrina. There are multiple restaurant options from Sushi to Mediterranean, local cuisine to classic americana. There are excellent thrift shops with vintage clothing, 2 fantastic coffee shops. So much to see and do within a tightly woven neighborhood that has a unique vibe.
