A Nashville institution, since 1945, Rotier's has served generations. There are always dinner-style specials; one of the few places with fried chicken gizzards on the menu, but order the cheeseburger on French Bread and the "off-the-menu" chocolate milkshake.

Go for lunch and shake hands with Randy Rayburn. He is one of the handful of individuals who set the tone, blazed the trail and created the current Nashville restaurant "scene." Look around and you'll see business bigwigs, society matrons, Music Row execs (and maybe a star or two). The Lemon Artichoke soup, Midtown Caesar and Midtown Meatloaf are classics as are the Sunset Caesar and Voodoo Pasta from Rayburn's now closed Sunset Grill.

One of the the best for Nashville's famous hot chicken. There's Southern (no heat), Mild or Medium (tad of burn), Hot (it's Hot), Damn Hot (Damn Hot) and Shut the Cluck Up!!! (the VERY HOTTEST). Try the Hot; add the Red Skin Potato Salad as a side to cool your mouth between bites of chicken.
