Our favorite area pizza place, doing a delcious, buttery deep dish pizza that's worth the usual wait. It's a cute spot that looks like an Italian grandma's house but be aware that it often has a long wait. We often will go on a weekday on the early side and call and order a pizza in advance (since they take 45 minutes), walk over and put our names in or use the Nowait Guest app.

Part of the Silver Lake Reservoir. It's a large lawn "meadow" recreational area with a view of the lake with benches and paths. Bring a sun hat and picnic blanket (we can provide one for you), as there's only 1 spot with decent shade.

A lovely historic park with a floating fountain and an accessible lake that you can rent swan boats and paddle around, enjoy its lawns, have a lovely walk or run and people watch. It's also a protected habitat for birds, frogs, and its famous waterlilies and in summer, its famous tall lotus flowers and the lotus festival. You can grab brunch at Square One Dining, an outdoor spot at the boat house. There's are street food vendors selling grilled corn elotes and Mexican food.
