This place in the Bywater neighborhood past the quarter and is a wine tore and serves delicious food. Has a very cool outdoor patio area with local bands performing. Also has an indoor restaurant. Really cool and local for the most part.

Frenchmen and Royal is intersection to start with. The street has lots of music venues, restaurants and bars. Street bands that are great are abundant as well. It runs from Esplanade Ave (bordering end of French Quarter) to Royal Street.

This is one of my favorite places to dine in Mid-City on Esplanade Ave. If the weather is nice, suggest dining on the outside covered patio along the side walk. Lots of activity on this street and very enjoyable. The food is great as are the margaritas!

This restaurant is literally right around the corner from my home and has good po-boys, Chinese food and many popular New Orleans dishes. Great for pick up to bring back to the house.

The two closest ones to my house are the Carrollton Ave Line at Claiborne and Carrollton that will turn into the St Charles Ave line taking you past Audubon Park, the mansions in the Garden District and you end up at Canal Street Downtown and at the French Quarter. 1.2 miles from my house with a 4 minute drive (there is ample parking by the streetcar line) or a nice 21 minute walk. The second is located at Canal Street and Jefferson Davis, which is only about 6 minute drive were there is ample street parking and you can hop on the streetcar taking you to Downtown, French Quarter and Warehouse District.
