If you have some money to spend and want to experience the best Italian in SF, SPQR is your spot (Unless you want to go to their other awesome restaurant, A16) Staff is extremely knowledgeable. Walk ins welcome, but reservations may be hard to come by - try www.openable.com

I consider this place Indian Nopa. Upscale Southern Indian food, delicious drinks, beautiful atmosphere. The food here is so delicious, you'll be thinking about it for days afterwards. Right across from the Sundance Kabuki, so perfect for a date night. Also, they have a great Happy Hour.

Favorite brunch spot if I'm going to spend the day walking along Ocean Beach or hiking around Land's End and Point Lobos. Stunning views. Walk ins sit at the bar, or try to get a reservation for a table. Weekdays are a better bet than weekends.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in SF. The food. The staff. The space. Exceptional. Always. If you can plan in advance, try to get a reservation. Otherwise, arrive at 5pm and you'll be seated at the communal table or the bar. Food service begins at 6pm. Alternatively, show up for a late brunch on Sunday, between 1 and 2:30p. Note they stop selling food at 2:30, but the bar stays open. They also serve food until 1am.

If you're looking for a lo-key bar which has a divey-vibe but actually has a lot of class, go to HiLo. The bartenders are exceptional and started the mixology revolution. Definitely a locals place.

Beautiful walk along the bay, place for a picnic, with iconic Golden Gate and Bay Views. A good walk from the apartment, head up over Baker, take a left on Pacific Ave. then head down the stairs to Palace of Fine Arts and Crissy Field beyond.
