They take reservations online, but if you are not able to plan ahead it is worth going over to see if they have a table for you that is ready or will be soon. Popular for dinner and brunch but they also serve lunch between 1-4 pm and also offer to-go ordering for lunch on their website.

Their sandwiches are all very good for lunch and they have soups too and in the afternoon you can get their breads which are amazing. They also have a location within Prospect Park on the side of the building that is called the Picnic House, enter on 3rd St. or 9th Street and Prospect Park West to get to that easily. It is near 6th St but further east from the main loop. Only outdoor seating at both locations.

Great outdoor spot that is just 1 block from the apartment. The food gets some bad reviews online so I think mainly I would say go and have a drink and hangout and maybe try an empanada and see how it is before you commit to placing a large food order.
