Coffee shop, community gathering place also has good pastries! Close to our house as well. We like both CC's ad Fairgrinds equally. This whole area is a really charming spot of shops and stores!

To-go fried chicken close to our house. This place is a New Orleans' institution. Cheap and delicious if you like Fried Chicken. Great to take with you to the parades or to the park!

Wonderful Bakery owned by an amazing man, Dwight Henry. Try the sugary but delicious Buttermilk Drops they are famous for. They also have hot breakfast to go.

Very delightful small Spanish restaurant. Wonderful service, wonderful food. Genuine paella and sangria. Loved it. Nice, quiet, intimate, special. You can bring your own wine from Swirl as well!

French bistro in a wonderful setting. Very good food and friendly, professional service. Great for brunch or dinner. A little on the expensive side but the food and atmosphere are worth it.

In my opinion the best place to get a Po-Boy in the city. Always good and full of people! Obama went here for his po-boy fix. I love the fried shrimp and a large could easily be split with 2 people.

Love this place and highly recommend it! Best coffee and town, delicious breakfast and lunch items. Wonderful atmosphere and their staff is incredibly friendly.

Local supermarket close to our house. It is locally owned and nice inside. Very much your typical large Supermarket except with alot of NOLA items too and they also sell wine and beer of course.

If you need to cool off with a New Orleans' treat Broad Street Snowballs is a good choice and only a block from our house! Other fun snowball spots are Hansen's and Plum St. but are located uptown.

City Park is a gem of New Orleans! Great place to go for a walk or run. Also the location of the city's Museum of Art as well as the Morning Call Coffee Shop which has great beignets and a coffee.
