This 12x12 house is off grid with a cute outhouse nestled in the timber behind the wildlife rescue. Relax and unplug for the weekend and know 100% of the fee goes to the animal rescue. Walk or Bike two blocks into the center of town and enjoy meals and local drinks. Two Bedrooms and a Bathroom and a large modern kitchen. Relax in the living room with a small electric fireplace. Beautiful country setting with lots of natural light and located on a working farm. Golf courses 2-3 miles from Canal House.

Located just a half mile from town, but secluded enough to be a private hilltop house retreat. The deck overlooks downtown with a backdrop of the Mississippi River! Enjoy the outdoors hiking at the Palisades State Park with miles of trails just a short drive away, kayak or fish one of the many rivers or lakes, stroll through downtown for antique and gift shopping, or visit a nearby winery. After a day of adventures, relax in the spa tub or enjoy a glass of wine on the private deck.

LHOTP (Lil House On The Prairie)

Lil House On The Prairie (LHOTP) is aptly named because it’s located on the edge of Nachusa Grassland’s 1,000 acre south Bison pasture. The 100+ herd of free ranging Bison can often be viewed right along the boundary fence to the west! This recently remodeled two bedroom cottage can sleep six with two queen size beds and with a pull out sofa bed. LHOTP offers a quiet, convenient, and comfortable place to base your adventures from. Behaved dogs & responsible owners welcome!

Riverfront 3 BR 2 BA Home on Private Wooded Lot

Enjoy a private 1.4 acre wooded retreat by the Rock River located on a dead-end street. The updated kitchen has newer appliances and granite countertops. The family room w/ vaulted ceiling, features a foosball table & game table area stocked with games & dvds. A grill, firepit, & gazebo are available on the back patio. Take in the river from the spacious backyard where you can have a bonfire, play, and try the ninjaline. Catch fish from a private fishing dock (summer).

Only half a mile away from the loading dock and close by to an Illinois State Park, our cabin allows Guests to enjoy nature in a relaxed setting.
