Nearby are several public boat accesses, fishing spots and ferries to access southern outer banks . Parking in the rear, room for boats. Pets welcome (max 2, fee applies).

The Yates Cottage

Welcome to the beauty and nature of Core Sound! The Yates Cottage is directly on the water and has spectacular views of Core Sound and Cape Lookout Lighthouse with large windows. Other amenities are a screen porch, fire pit, and a large yard for lawn games. The Yates cottage is great for couples, families, dogs (with a single $150 pet fee), joggers, walkers, bikers, fishers and boaters. You will be welcomed with freshly-made beds, towels and a full kitchen with Keurig and Rachel Ray cookware.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway! Easy access to Cape Lookout and Core Banks. Enjoy the views from the large deck and private dock with room for sunning, fishing, launching boats and kayaks. Indoors provide cozy reading spaces and 4 bedrooms and space for making many memories. Whether you are here for sunning on the dock, escaping to a quite place & water views, taking the ferry to Core Banks for the best NC beaches have to offer, 4-wheeling, duck hunting, fishing or kayaking!

Captain Brown's Farmhouse

Enjoy this unique and family/pet-friendly home (with a single $150 pet fee). Captain Claude Brown built this charming farmhouse in 1945 for his bride Belle. The Brown family is well-known in Marshallberg, NC. The road and an island are named after them! The farmhouse was lovingly renovated in 2023 and is ready for guests, both 2- and 4-legged. There is a water view from the front porch, the Marshallberg Harbor and boat ramp are a 1/2 mile away, and a doggy door leads to a fenced-in area!

Ant’s Corner is a cozy coastal retreat with a water view in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located near Island Express Ferry Service and Core Sound Waterfowl Museum. Home updates done in spring of 2024 include- entire interior painted, popcorn ceilings removed and other drywall repairs, new ceiling fans and interior lighting, and more! House is stocked with plenty of kitchen necessities and other conveniences so all you need to do is show up ready to relax!
