Our property is within a walk to downtown and close to both local hospitals for those wanting to travel and work.

Kayaks are provided to explore island studded 462 acre Jones pond, a 10 minute walk down a trail. A 10 minute drives brings you to the less visited Schoodic section of Acadia NP, where a network of hiking and biking trails lace the coastal forests and dramatic rocky coast. Nearby Winter Harbor has shops and restaurants and even a ferry across the bay to Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.

Peace and quiet is what you’ll find, along with a gorgeous view. It’s a great place for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, grilling, fishing, and laying on the hammock. Farm stay in a cozy yurt

Welcome to Bald Mountain Farm. The cold weather is coming. The yurt is now stocked with fire starter, kindling and wood. The yurt has a full bed. It is hooked up to electricity for lights and a hot plate. Pots, pans and utensils are in the drawer. The compost toilets are in the back. There is no running water but we provide a drinking fountain and a little sink to wash up. No shower. The distance between parking and the yurt is about 150 yards.
