Lively Newcastle town, with its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants is less than 5 minutes drive away. Other attractions close by are Murlough Beach, Castlewellan forest Park & many walking, hiking & cycling trails.

It is ideal for hiking, cycling, golfing or exploring the local towns of Newry and Dundalk. We are less than 10 minutes to Killeavy Castle Hotel and Slieve Gullion Forest Park and 30 minutes to the coastal resorts of Carlingford and Warrenpoint. We are very accessible to Dublin and Belfast both being within one hours drive away.

An Lochta

An Lochta is a converted , two story, 19th century grain store, surrounded by a mature and carefully tended garden on a small farm, set in the idyllic rustic peace and quiet of rural Co Meath. Despite our seclusion, we are just 10 minutes from the M1 motorway, 1 hour from Dublin and within easy reach of the major historical sites of Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan. (Unfortunately the layout of the building renders it unsuitable for wheelchair users).

There are wonderful sandy beaches in Blackrock, Clogherhead and Port.
