Prospect Park is massive and beautiful. Rent a bike and see the whole thing! The Brooklyn Botanical gardens are attached and it's really close to the Brooklyn Art Museum.

Only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Governor's Island is a state trust park. It's covered in art installations and constantly has concerts and other fun events. Rent a bike and enjoy the beautiful city views from the water.

The High Line is a unique park that stretches from 34th st to 12th street along the west side of Manhattan. Views from the park are unique as it's about 30 feet above ground. Walk the highline down to Chelsea Markets where you'll find endless shops and restaurants tucked in below Google's NY HQ.

Make sure to see the Pyramids. They're amazing! Also, the entrance fees are donation based -- so you can pay what you want. Don't take the $25 entrance fee seriously.

Free on Fridays from 7-9:30pm, the Whitney is a unique building with beautiful views. I recommend coming at sunset if you can as the roof is open to NJ.

Sightseeing

The Empire State is open until 2AM every day. I highly recommend going late at night since most people don't know it's open late and the lines are shorter. The city views at night are breath taking!

Top of the Rock may take a couple hours to reach, but it's worth the wait. Once you're up there you feel like you're on top of the world. Check out the center below for world class shopping. If it's Christmas time, strike out on the skating rink below the building for some serious fun.

Top of the Rock may take a couple hours to reach, but it's worth the wait. Once you're up there you feel like you're on top of the world. Check out the center below for world class shopping. If it's Christmas time, strike out on the skating rink below the building for some serious fun.
The observation deck is only open until 7pm. I'd recommend going to see the fountains in the afternoon and heading up top toward early evening. Skip the museum, it's not impressive.
