There is a several beaches in Kostrena conected with few kilometers long coastal promenade. It's quite popular among locals.. It is the closest beach outside the city.

In my personal opinion Baška beach is among top 5 beaches in Croatia. It is on furthest part of the island of Krk so I recommend to visit it as a part of a one day tour around the island of Krk. Nice place to visit is small village Punat.. Be aware that to visit Krk you need to cross the bridge and you should avoid that on friday, saturday and sunday because of high traffic. During those days you could wait for more than an hour to cross the bridge.

In my personal opinion Baška beach is among top 5 beaches in Croatia. It is on furthest part of the island of Krk so I recommend to visit it as a part of a one day tour around the island of Krk. During those days you could wait for more than an hour to cross the bridge.

National park Brijuni islands
My recommandation is to take one day and visit Pula and Brijuni. Tito had residency on one of those Islands, there is a zoo park there too.. Nice nature.
