There are miles and miles of hiking trails just off our road! When leaving our driveway, go left to end of the road (cul-de-sak) and you will see a path on your left. Walk down it and stay to the right at the bottom to access the Hamlet to Hamlet footpath. There are miles and miles of hiking trails here. They go all the way to Montauk! You can also mountain bike the trails. Make sure the check yourself for ticks afterwards!

This is a residents only beach but if you have a sticker (or rent our car) this is a GREAT beach for adults and kids! It's an ocean beach but if you walk over to the right upon getting on the beach you can have access to both the ocean and (mecox) bay, and if you're lucky "the cut" will be open, which is basically a river that runs between to two and creates a fun place for kids to play in the current.

It's an ocean beach but if you walk over to the right upon getting on the beach you can have access to both the ocean and (mecox) bay, and if you're lucky "the cut" will be open, which is basically a river that runs between to two and creates a fun place for kids to play in the current.
A little bit of a trip (in montauk), but a beautiful ocean beach with ample parking and public access (for a fee). Head to Gosman's Dock or one of the roadside beach bars on 27 afterwards.

Sightseeing
We are midway between Sag Harbor and Southampton (perhaps slightly closer to Sag). Take a stroll down main street for cute shops, loads of restaurants and finish down at the harbor to see the boats go by.

A sweet day trip. Shelter Island is a magical little place to visit. We are only about 10m from the ferry to shelter island. The ferry ride is all of 5 minutes across the bay, but an adventure! So many fun things to do in Montauk. A great place to spend the day. Head to the beach, go visit the lighthouse, play a round of golf or head to the pool at the Montauk downs, and hit main street and don't forget Gosman's Dock ( cute shops and restaurants on the water). Definitely worth a visit
Great main street with lots of shops and restaurants. Take a stroll, have a coffee and relax. Also, it's nice to take a little drive just south of the village. The neighborhood between main street and the ocean is beautiful with lovely tree lined streets and stunning houses.

This is the closest big supermarket. They have a decent seafood counter and sushi as well! It is in a shopping complex that also has a Kmart, Tj Maxx, Staples, Walgreens, etc.
