18th century lock keepers cottage

Relax in this lovingly restored stone built country cottage, to be found at the end of a,resident only, tarmaced tow path. Situated on its own private island, alongside the Chesterfield canal, beside a working lock. The front faces the lock with its comings and goings of canal boats. Perhaps a dozen boats will pass through in a day, all with a friendly crew and a story to tell of their journey. A few private moorings too. The rear of the property looks out to an uninterrupted rural landscape.

Beautiful apartment with hot tub

A unique, cosy apartment set in a quiet location just 15 minute walk from the popular town of Bawtry. This is newly renovated and has its own entrance, outside patio area and hot tub. There’s under floor heating throughout, ensuring it’s always cosy and a brand new shower in the bathroom. The main room has a sofa bed, with a memory foam topper to ensure a good nights sleep, seating and TV mounted on the wall. There’s WI-FI and two great pubs a five minute walk away. It’s an attached property.

Holly Cottage

We hope that you will enjoy your stay in this unique cottage with stunning views and spacious layout for 2. Holly cottage has under floor heating throughout which is powered by a ground source heat pump ,hence no carbon monoxide alarm is required. Holly Cottage was built in 2015 but our main house was built in the 1880s. We feel the character of the cottage compliments the main house. Gringley is a fabulous place to walk and explore, the pub is only 300 yards away.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Set in a mature wooded setting with breathtaking lakeside views right on your doorstep. Nottinghamshire wildlife trust (SSSI) and Idle Valley 300m away a haven for nature lovers and home to hundreds of wild birds – and even recently, beavers! Great for walking, rambling and mountain bikers. Local village pub nearby and the market town of Retford a very short drive . Kingfishers literally beneath the lodge !

Studio apartment.

The apartment consists of a living space with kitchen and shower room connected to a bedroom. The bedroom has limited head space of just under 2 metres. There is independent access from the rear of the building and no shared space. Access is via a staircase at the right hand side of the house. No food is supplied, but teabags and instant coffee is. Entry is via a keysafe for which a code will be supplied when booking iOS confirmed.
