Leather assembly work (1.5 hours) ・Use pre-cut Tochigi leather parts to glue and assemble. ・Work while learning about the basics and process of sandal making. 4. Final Finishing (1 hour) -The sandals are adjusted and polished to create a finished product. The host will help you with the fine details to create a professional finish. 5. Closing (10 min.) -You will receive the finished shoes or sandals, a certificate, and photos and videos of the process. -You will receive a free gift of leather wax. We will give you advice on how to care for your leather products. I’ll guide you through the process of putting one on, and then we’ll visit a nearby Temple for a peaceful walk and photos. **FOR WOMEN ONLY • You’ll learn the proper method of putting on and wearing a kimono, including how to tie a hanhaba obi (half-width sash). • We’ll stroll around the nearby Shounji Temple and take photos. (In case of rain, you’ll instead learn kimono etiquette indoors.) You’ll walk away with an understanding of the fundamentals of this refined traditional art form, as well as some elegant photos of your adventure. Note: Please wear something over your underwear (such as a camisole and petticoat or slip).

Join me, a longtime mural preservationist, as I reveal the stories behind the eye-popping street art in two of Tokyo’s trendiest neighborhoods: Shibuya and Harajuku. • In between spotting graffiti tags and admiring massive murals, we’ll duck into secret alleyways, abandoned buildings, and underground spots that are only known by locals. • For daytime sessions, we’ll also stop by galleries and view current art exhibitions (when available). If you select the night tour, you’ll get a glimpse of graffiti artworks painted on shuttered storefronts, which are normally hidden from view. • We’ll wrap up at a cafe with a brief digital demonstration of before-and-after examples of murals, including one that has been turned into an NFT. • You’ll have plenty of time to photograph your favorite scenes along the way. I will show you guys the visuals of Shibuya, the views you can get of the Crossing from above. Off the beaten paths spots and major tourist spots you shouldn't miss. After that we will move to Shinjuku via the JR Yamanote Line (12 minute train ride) and show you the gritty side of Tokyo, showing you the tiniest of alleys and the main night-life spot. The tour/photoshoot is going to be around 2-3 hours. I will be providing you with 25-40 high resolution photos, post processed and ready to share to your friends and family. When you take my tour, you will get to know the super local side of Shimokitazawa and get to experience everything I love about this city as a local. We will walk around the town and stop by shops and bars that are off the tourist radar. Along the way, I will be happy to explain the little intricacies of Japanese culture that make life here so interesting. For example, how to ask about something in a shop in the characteristic polite way that is inherent to the Japanese language. Shimokitazawa is a really special place and you'll never get bored of it!
