La cabane était à l'origine deux cabanes érigées dans les années 1850. Dans les années 1970, l'artiste Jim Simon a démonté les cabanes en rondins et les a redécoupées dans la ferme familiale Simon. Red Fox Ridge a été nommé pour le renard roux souvent repéré qui coule sur la crête surplombant la rivière. Beaucoup d'histoire à partager et à faire !
