Burdoin Mtn Apt is a bright 2nd floor private-access apt w/ open living space, euro-style modern kitchen w/ gas range, washer & dryer and separate bedroom. 1 parking space + street parking. NO SMOKING. The living room has a work space, TV with Roku, a full size pull-out sofa bed, and new AC unit. With views to the east of Burdoin Mtn, our backyard playground for mountain biking and hiking is at the end of our street. Downtown White Salmon is a 10 min. walk. Hood River a 13 minute drive.

Sit on the porch and relax watching the Hood River. Perfectly located for recreation or wine tasting, 40 mins. to skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows, and 10 to downtown breweries. Walk or ride to meals, brewpubs or shopping in the Mississippi and Williams districts. Hop a train (three blocks away) to all quarters. Or, to unwind, walk to Overlook or Mocks Crest parks for sweeping views of downtown Portland, Forest Park and the Willamette River. Separate outdoor keyless entry to a daylight-basement in our 100+ year-old craftsman home ensures a contactless stay. Blackout bedroom curtains invite great sleep, and comfortable couch is also long enough to sleep on. All welcome! Cannabis friendly (outdoors only) covered patio. On a quiet dead-end road with free parking. Stays over 7 days can request access to laundry.

Basement Dwelling

This basement efficiency apartment has its own entrance off the driveway next to the sidewalk and has everything you might need to be comfortable. The ceiling is not that high so I recommend it for people under 6'2". My family including a dog and cats live in the house above so you might hear us but they don’t have access to the apt. Gas and/or electric heat that you control, smart TV and recliner that will stand you up. I do allow animals if you pay the $20 pet fee and see rules.

Tall windows overlook greenery and a cozy porch. Our family's 1900 house has been divided into separate apartments. Its like an artsy hotel room, but much more homey!

Explore North Portland walking districts (restaurants, food carts, shops!) or Peninsula Park roses 🌹, then retire to this hip and spacious basement apartment. You’ll love its cork floors (that feel so nice under foot), creative finishes, and immaculate cleanliness. I live upstairs but am mindful of noise. And, as a basement space, it keeps a comfortable temperature and is buffered from exterior noise! Multiple guests have reported their best sleep ever.
