Kumkapı was mostly inhabited by Armenians. It's also the seat of the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople. Byzantine period, the area was known in Greek as Kontoskàlion. Nice view and seafood

The best restaurant for me Fener Fish Restaurant. Daily fresh fishes every day wit lots of special turkiz mezes and for a reasonable price.
