This interestingly placed park was built in the idea of the Trinity only flooding every 100 years... after which point it flooded out every 5. Historical trivia about the Trinity river bottom includes tales of the elites and socialites of the area constructing fancy river bottom dinner parties. And more recently many enjoy the wealth of trails that have been added in the last few decades.
