Madrona Bar and Grill has great hamburgers and is right on the water, it’s in the building on the left side of Darvils.
The Madrona is my go-to for a good balance of view and food quality. The restaurant sits right on the water and if you are lucky enough to sit outside on their deck on a warm summer day to enjoy a plate of their fish and chips... you may never leave Orcas.
With patio views overlooking the Eastsound harbor, this bar & grill is hard to beat when it comes to scenic romance. Excellent oysters. Try to book a reservation at sunset for maximum breathtaking views.
The bar and grill on the main floor is great for casual dining, while upstairs you'll find more formal dining and craft cocktails at The Loft.

“I love the bar aka "The Mansion". The mansion was the home built by Ship builder Robert Moran, the former mayor of Seattle, responsible for re-building the city after the "great fire" of 1889. He donated the property which is now Moran State Park. The spa is downstairs from the bar and offers full spa treatments and the use of an indoor pool . Visit the mansion and drink in the history of the island..”

“Yeah, this is a must see. Moran State Park is the gem of Orcas Island. Hiking & bike trails, horseback riding, waterfalls, two lakes...and Mt. Constitution- the highest peak in the San Juan Islands. Drive up and admire the view then take a walk around Cascade lake. Swim in the summer. Play area for kids and plenty of picnic spots. Daily fee to park or use your Discover Pass.”
