The Tal-y-Lyn Valley in the south-western part of Snowdonia National Park takes in a wooded gorge along the Nant Dol-goch stream, a tributary of the River Fathew. Though the area is just four miles inland from the beaches of Tywyn on the coast it feels much more remote and rugged. A series of three waterfalls tumble down the steep sides of the gorge into pools below, and a popular circular walk links all three waterfalls. The walk is short - about 1-mile round trip - and well signposted. The going is fairly easy and should pose no problems for anyone of reasonable mobility.

It is possible to drive to Dolgoch falls, but much more fun to catch the steam train (Talyllyn railway) which also stops at other beauty spots.

visit the beautiful Waterfalls at Dolgoch. just 15 minutes drive from the farm. Take the full walk over all the levels or just explore at the ground level. picnic areas, caves, Talyllyn railway station, huge carpark,. Great place to reflect nature and mindfulness. paddle at the different levels and explore the nature trails. catch the steam train from Tywyn to Abergynolwyn. jump off at the falls to explore and catch the train back to Tywyn again. Highly recommended trip.
