One of the most popular cafe right now in Saigon. Imagine a hybrid of Starbucks and communist propaganda. I'm kidding about the Starbucks part, their menu is way better.

Cộng Caphe – a coffee shop that carries a pure Vietnamese theme with propaganda posters and communism has been driving the whole community by storm; especially with the youngsters, it’s great to have a cup of coffee at the end of the day in such a cozy atmosphere and listen to some Vietnamese tunes. Why is it called Cộng anyways? Cộng means Việt Cộng in Vietnamese; this term was used in the socialist era and the team made a great twist on it by adding such humors in their shops like propaganda posters, funny quotes around the place (even in the restrooms) and unique designs with brick wood walls and old set of tables and chairs. Founded in 2007, and 16 stores have been opened in Hanoi, Da Nang and Saigon. Cộng Café is surely a hit in Vietnam these days.
