Stop here and take a look into Orcas Island's past. Such a treat for tourists and locals alike. (Note: for some reason, this marker is placed far from where the Historical Museum actually sits. It's in the main core of the village of Eastsound on North Beach Road!)

Its a magical place! The Historical Society works very hard to curate the history of our island. It is right in the center of town, next to the Village Green. Google maps may have it wrong..Check it out!

A little free museum that will take a half hour but rewards with a feel of the island of old. If you look hard you might find the Osprey Nest brick. Also note that the Jackson cabin exhibit was from the plot of land where the Osprey Nest and Eagle Roost reside.
