The former home of Helen and Scott Nearing, radical economists, educators, writers, political activists, pacifists, vegetarians and advocates for simple living who developed a community embracing the "back to the land" movement right here in Harborside. The mission of the Good Life Center is now to perpetuate the legacy of the Nearings. They have an afternoon speaker series at 4:00 p.m. on the property during the months of July and August.
