old abbey heritage site out of the way but worth stopping by on the way to Tregaron. Also try Cwtch coffee shop in Pontrhydygroes.

This Welsh Cistercian abbey was completed in the 1270s, having taken 90 years to build. Today little remains of the structure, but the huge west doorway and some mighty stone pillars is a must see.

A beautiful and peaceful place with helpful and informative staff. Has a tea/coffee shop too.
