Great swimming beach, where the River meets the Ocean. The Oceanside is flagged and patrolled. The river is calm, safe and also great for kayaking.

You choose - Watch the magnificent waves crash in, walk the beach/ sandbar, wade in the river or play on the rocks on the rivers edge - there is plenty to do with the kids in this very scenic location. Don't forget to keep a look out for the mermaid on the rocks! There is plenty of parking available and toilets nearby.

Great for families. Dangerous surf in the ocean beware! Talk to lifeguards! But kids can swim in the river part where its shallow and calm water. Lifeguard on duty in summertime.
