Square was where the bench scene was filmed in Forest Gump.

Remember where Forrest waited almost a whole movie for that bus? That was on the south side of Chippewa Square. You'll have to use a little imagination though, because the bench is in the museum. Also, the traffic flows in the opposition direction in the movie.
