The Wellington Cable Car is a funicular railway in Wellington, New Zealand, between Lambton Quay, the main shopping street, and Kelburn, a suburb in the hills overlooking the central city, rising 120 m over a length of 612 m. The one way trip takes approximately five minutes.

It's iconic and has to be done - Take the cable car up the hill to the Botanic Gardens then check out the museum and take a meander through Wellington's beautiful botanic gardens

Take the Cable Car up to the Botanical Gardens and walk down through the gardens into town.

Wellington Cable Car is a lovely experience to ride this and head to the Cable Car Museum at the top. Well worth the look. Amazing views looking down across the city from the top.
