“The highest natural point in Manhattan is found in Bennett Park. It's within walking distance of the Uptown Garrison coffee shop that I recommend. There’s an official plaque set into the rock, marking it as 265.05 feet above sea level. Bennett Park was the site of Fort Washington, the last stronghold in Manhattan of General Washington’s army and a resounding defeat by the Hessian and British onslaught. There is a replica of a Revolutionary War cannon, playground equipment, and a comfort station.”

“181 Cabrini is a quiet & relaxed restaurant/ bar/ coffee shop. Very good selection of beers, and chef's specials daily! The crowd here is a little bit more mature & low-key than Le Chéile. A great place to sit down and catch up.”
