Just a stones through away is the River Dodder. You can walk along it most of the way but you do have to pop out onto pavement at some points. Full of wildlife and the gentle flow is food for the soul.

River Dodder at bottom of road 3/4 minutes walk away. There are beautiful walks along the river in both direction, ducks weirs etc. A beautiful walk along river will bring you to award winning pub - The Dropping Well Pub. Look at their website .
