Another incredible view from the parkway! 1.5 mile up and back (easy-moderate) hike is up a gravel road to a fire tower with really pretty views-- climbing up the fire tower is safe, however, might not be great if you have fears of heights Approx. 40 min drive from the Blue Door Bungalow

This is a hidden gem; there is a drive that is blocked off by a gate. Park in the grass not blocking the gate, and walk around it to take the path up the mountain. It leads you to the fire tower and 360 degree views. The tower can be a little shaky in the wind, but it is sturdy enough to climb. The views are so worth it!

Easy 2.5 mile hike that ends at a tower. The tower can be scary but has great views!

This is a beautiful place to watch the sunrise or the sunset with a 360 degree view of the mountains (Blue Ridge Mountains and Smoky Mountains). It is breathtaking and incredible pictures can be had.
