It is a 12th- or 13th-century Armenian monastery. The impressive monastery which has remained in relatively good condition also houses one of the world's finest examples of a khachkar.

One of my fav palces. 12th- or 13th-century Armenian monastery located in the village of Gosh. When you get Goshavank, I highly recommend to visit Gosh Lake, which is 15 mins away from the church, there are cars near the church, that take the tourists to the lake, through the forests. In spring/ fall it is stunning to see the nature there.

Goshavank is a 12th- or 13th-century Armenian monastery located in the village of Gosh in the Tavush Province of Armenia. Today the monastery is not a functioning religious complex, although it remains a popular tourist destination and has recently undergone some light restoration.
