As a German-speaking parish in Prague, we do not live on an island, but in many ways in relation to the Catholic Church of the Czech Republic. This was felt once again on the 10th of September when Fr. Martin Leitgöb and the head of the Sudeten German office in Prague, Peter Barton, traveled to Brno. The aim was the Plattenbauviertel Lesná in the north of the Moravian metropolis, where a new church is currently being built. This district has about 20,000 inhabitants, but the services were hitherto celebrated in the hall of a community center. The active pastor Pavel Hověz (pictured on the left) and his parish therefore initiated the construction of a church devoted to Blessed Restituta Kafka
