It is the reincarnation of the multicultural spirit of the city: Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II is the largest in Rome and here you can best notice the multi-ethnic spirit of the neighborhood, well connected to all corners of the city, being also very close to Termini station. A must visit is the historic G. Fassi ice cream shop, in the Palazzo del Freddo.

Surrounded by palazzi with large porticoes in the 19th century style, the piazza was built by Gaetano Koch shortly after the unification of Italy. Umbertine in style, it is the largest piazza in Rome.
