If you have a 4WD drive car, you can go to this reserve and drive your car on to the beach and set up for the day. Cost is about $30. Can get busy in peak times.

If you start from Greenhills beach, you can walk all the way up the beach to Boat Harbour in approx. 30 mins.

You have to pay to drive onto this private beach with your 4WD or you can walk to it along the beach. Well worth a beach day here!

Boat Harbour was originally named Jacobs' Boat Harbour after Captain John Jacobs, master of small vessels owned by the Van Diemen's Land Company. The vessels were used for trading between the VDL establishments at Circular Head and Woolnorth with Launceston, Tasmania between the late 1820s and the 1840s.
