With the prison and prison museum (slightly strange) and this lovely visitor centre Princetown is worth a visit even if thick with fog you see what an exposed moorland town looks like! And when the sunshine’s the views are beautiful.
Provides a good introduction to Dartmoor’s history and environment. Guides, maps and quality souvenirs for sale. Often hosts local art and photography exhibitions. Helpful staff can advise on local activities.
