Visit this gorgeous, and historic place just a few minutes outside of Beaufort. It’s a perfect place to take photos under the huge Live Oaks.

Tucked away off a lonely road halfway between Savannah and Charleston, the Old Sheldon Church is one of the most hauntingly peaceful places in the Southeast. This beautiful old ruin is the remains of a church first built in 1757!

The most beautiful place ever. I love ruins and abandoned places but this place tops everything. Burned down in the revolutionary and civil wars.

This historical church ruin may be on your way here or on your way home. It's not too far off I-95 and is a must see!
